Synapse’s shadowing program offers students a chance to shadow either a neurosurgeon or a neurologist. Students will observe patient-physician interactions and witness a clinical setup first hand! This shadowing experience is dependent on the physician’s availability and the student’s schedule, but can be one visit or multiple during one semester. This is a great way to see how clinical diagnosing works, learn about MRIs, CT scans, and other aspects of medical neuroscience.
Students currently enrolled in WashU may apply to shadow through Synapse at the beginning of each semester and the summer.
