Who We are and What We Do

History

Synapse, formerly known as CO-SIGN: College Student Interest Group in Neuroscience, was originally founded as an undergraduate club affiliated with SIGN at the WU School of Medicine. The club focused on aiding undergraduate students in their current and future neuroscience studies with research panels and opportunities to shadow physicians. Synapse continues to offer these programs, but now includes many volunteer opportunities and has an increased presence on campus as well as in the St. Louis community.

What We Do

We organize mentorships for students interested in careers in clinical and research-oriented neuroscience and host speakers in order to increase awareness of neuroscience-related topics. We also reach out to the St. Louis community through various neuroscience-related volunteer activities. Please explore our website for more information about what we do and how to get involved!
